more winter Winter is one of my favorite seasons. Food tastes better. The air is crisper. I sleep better and there’s something about walking (and playing) it it. However winter can also be quite dangerous.

We are currently experiencing onslaught of wintry weather. Over 1 Million fernley stormCalifornian’s are without power. Over 5 feet of snow fell in the Sierra Nevada range, with reports of 10 feet in higher elevation. And, 30 miles east of Reno,  Fernley is under 8 feet of water after a canal broke.

Europe is being gripped by cold weather too. Even the Black Sea was not being good to the Balkans.balkan storm

Lakota Sioux Declare Independence From US

The Lakota Sioux nation is well represented in Nebraska where I live. On  December 18, it served notice to the US, asserting itself as a sovereign nation. They will issue their own passports and drivers license and there will be no income tax for those who renounce their US citizenship. Lakota land spans 5 states (NE, SD, ND, WY, MT).

Farma: The Scary Future Of Food

The most recent future of food conference has recently concluded. The prediction – the future of bioengineering foodstuff is rosy. Bill Gates’ foundation has taken on a noble effort and funded billions of dollars into feeding the worlds’ less fortunate. They, like you, are being fed food that is genetically altered, that is engineered. But what could be the result of such a practise?

In the short run, bellies are full. In the long run, ecosystems are disrupted and destroyed. This would spell disaster for your health and life as we know it. Already shockwaves can be felt in the ecosystem. Bees are dying, crops are more easily disrupted and destroyed by disease and extremes of weather. Disease and degenerative disorders are at epidemic proportions in America and it’s just getting worse.
